Proud wife of 17 yrs, mother of 5 beautiful children, U.S. veteran and photographer, doula.
My first introduction to a camera came from my grandfather at 4 years old. It was an old Brownie C. I was fascinated by the inverted images. A few years later, my parents gave me an instant Polaroid and I took pictures of anything that would stand still. They still have the prints to prove it!
Although I think it runs deeper, my father was a pressman and my grandfather was editor for the local paper. While in the military, after becoming pregnant with my first child, I was temporarily transferred to admin where I met my mentor working for the paper. It was then that I re-discovered my passion as a photographer. And once my baby entered the world, it was inevitable. It’s been 16 yrs and I haven’t looked back.
Having a teenager and 4 others growing as fast as they can behind her, I know how important it is to cheat time and steal those priceless images. I can’t stop it, but I’m sure going to try to slow it down a bit
I consider myself a pioneer in the field of birth photography. Having searched for one with my last birth I learned they weren’t very common. Now, nearly 7 years later, I have found a new passion and have since trrained to become a certified Doula as well
Everyone is unique and each image should express their individuality. I look forward to working with you.
Thanks for stopping by,
Natalie
