Today is also April 1st…and you know what that means ;)  We’ve moved children to one anothers bed while they slept.  That was especially fun when we had a crib ;)  This year I swabbed the doors with Vaseline, had purple milk with their cereal and just wait until they eat their lunches today….I scraped the cream from their oreos and replaced it with tooth-paste.  Good fun

 

 

 

 

 

 

Don’t pity them…I’ve had the faucet hose me down just as I’ve woken to brew coffee.  (That’s a whole lotta fun).  I’ve had water placed in my seat at the dinner-table and I’m sure I’ve blocked many others to keep what’s left of my sanity

 

 

 

 

 

 

My middle child and I designed a home-made cast just last evening just for this day.  While another wrapped her arm in an ace bandage and we created a shiner for another with blue, green and pink make-up…that has already fooled a few teachers this morning .  And you can read some of the pranks we’ve pulled in previous posts if you need some ideas

 

 

 

 

      

 

 

 

                

 

 

 

 

I love when we “Spring Forward” and can reclaim the days.  Go for long walks, stretch out activities late into the evening…make our way back to the car after a ball-game ;)   

  

 

 

 

 

 

 

 There is  a sense of renewal that recharges the soul and puts energy back into our step.  It must be the Vitamin D our bodies were craving.

 

 

 

 

 

 

Spring is also a great time to capture children and families enjoying one of the BEST signs of Spring – Rebirth…flowers blooming, trees blossoming, birds singing. 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 If you’re looking for more sophisticated portraits, consider soft pastels or muted colors.   

 

 

 

 

 

If you prefer less formal outdoor shots  a simple outfit – denim and solid colors, overalls, or a linen spring dress work well.
